The Hero of Friedrichstrasse Station (2025)

Michael Hartung, who runs a video store drowning in debt, has always found himself backing the wrong choices. However, his life takes a turn when an ambitious journalist presents him with evidence from her investigation. Long ago, while working for the Reichsbahn, he allegedly orchestrated the biggest mass escape in East Germany, a claim supported by Stasi documents. It's revealed that he was even imprisoned and later sent to an open-pit lignite mine. Tempted by a generous paycheck, Micha decides to affirm the tale, despite only a few details being accurate.
