Zen (2009)

In the early 1200s, Dogen introduced Chinese Zen philosophy to Japan, founding the Japanese Zen school of Buddhism. He emphasized that individuals could attain Buddhahood through their own efforts via Zazen, a practice involving prolonged periods of sitting and meditation aimed at reaching a state of "Mu," which signifies nothingness or an empty existence.
