Break Up (1998)

Despite losing her hearing from Frankie’s abuse, housewife Jimmy Dade refuses to leave her violent husband. When his burned-out car turns up with an unrecognizable corpse inside, detectives John Box and Andrew Ramsey believe Jimmy finally killed him. But after finding her bank account drained clean, Jimmy realizes Frankie may still be alive. Terrified, she flees—with the police closing in behind her.
